Tarter Sauce
Ingredients/Zutaten
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cornichons (French style), or Dill pickles with extra sugar (US style)
- 1 tbsp capers
- 1 tsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- Fresh dill, parsley, and/or taragon, to taste
- Pepper, fresh ground
Optional
- 2 tbsp green or red onion
- Dijon mustard
Instructions/Zubereitung
- Chop and mix all ingredients.
- Adjust to taste.
- Chill in refrigerator before serving.
Serving
- Spoon into a small serving bowl.
- Sprinkle a few bits of roughly chopped dill on top.
- Serve with freshly sliced lemon wedges.
Storing
- Place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
