If we count by 3s, starting with 1, the following sequence is created: 1, 4, 7, 10, …. What is the 100th number in this sequence? What is the easiest/smartest way to figure this out?
What is 100 multiples of three?
$$1 + (3 \times 99) = 1 + 297 = 298$$
