Real Shampoo

Commerical shampoos are laden with problematic ingredients, are routinely over-priced, and stink of obnoxious artificial frangrances. There's a simple, inexpensive, and healthy alternative. Make your own.

This recipe avoids the toxic and inessential ingredidents found in most commercial varieties, such as foaming agents, preservatives, modifyers, thickening agents, colorants, and artificial fragrances. Because it contains no emulsifiers, the water and oil will naturally separate. This is as it should be. Simply shake the bottle before using.

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Keep the bulk of it refrigerated (because no preservatives have been added), and pour just enough for a few days use into a used shampoo bottle.
  3. Shake the shampoo bottle for 30 seconds or so before use.
